Documenta11 Visitors Service

Documenta11, in close collaboration with the Berlin-based exhibition service x:hibit, has developed its Visitors Service for the fifth platform, the exhibition in Kassel, which will take place June 8 to September 15, 2002. The Visitors Service will be the central service point for all inquiries and information about Documenta11 and will perform all aspects of the educational work, connecting the visitors and the exhibition. It offers a range of services, such as reserved guided group tours, rotating tours for spontaneous visitors, introductory lectures, as well as guided walks through both the entire exhibition and through selected exhibition venues. Individual packages, tailored according to the needs and wishes of the visitors, such as whole-day programs, lunch and dinner receptions, or special interest lectures, complete the range of services offered.

x:hibit is prepared to provide educational services not only about the exhibition, but also about the four preceeding platforms, bringing to the field a group of highly trained individuals, coming from a broad range of backgrounds, such as art history, cultural, social and political studies, and sharing a special knowledge and experience in the mediation and communication of contemporary art
